A decade unlocking business value from IP at Intellectual Ventures, Finjan Holdings, AON, and Moat Metrics. Now closing the gap between what AI can do and what practitioners actually trust.

What originally drew you to IP/patent work?

My journey started at Intellectual Ventures, mining a portfolio of 10,000+ US software patents to identify high-value assets for licensing, litigation, or divestiture. That work made clear to me that patents aren't just legal documents, they're signals of competitive power and innovation direction.

Over more than a decade across Intellectual Ventures, Finjan Holdings, AON, and Moat Metrics, I've worked across the full IP value chain: patentability searches and patent drafting and prosecution, to licensing, enforcement, acquisition due diligence, valuation, and IP-backed funding. The thread throughout has been the same: helping organizations build and execute strategies that turn their IP into a real, measurable business asset.

How do you see AI changing patent practice?

AI is shifting IP from reactive and document-heavy to proactive and intelligence-driven. Patentability searches, patent drafting, claim refinement, infringement detection, competitive landscape mapping, licensee targeting, all faster and sharper.

The bigger change is strategic: AI lets you see patterns across thousands of patents and surface prior art and risk exposure that no human team could find at that scale, enabling smarter, more defensible decisions. I've seen firsthand that organizations that embed AI into their IP processes now will build a lasting structural advantage.

What are you most excited to work on at DeepIP?

Closing the gap between what AI can do and what IP practitioners actually trust and use. There's enormous potential across the entire IP lifecycle, from early-stage patentability searches and drafting, to portfolio management, enforcement, assertion strategy, and valuation. But adoption requires tools that deliver real, defensible outcomes, not just impressive demos. I've spent my career at inflection points like this, and DeepIP feels like exactly that kind of moment.

What does a Senior Customer Success & Solutions Manager do at DeepIP?

Atreyee sits at the intersection of customer relationship and product solutions: translating what law firms and corporate IP teams are actually trying to achieve into how they actually use DeepIP. Her role bridges two worlds: the day-to-day of onboarding, adoption, and renewal, and a decade of experience in patent search, licensing, valuation, and IP-backed financing that shapes how she reads what a customer really needs. That combination means she brings deep product expertise across patent drafting, office actions, portfolio mining, landscaping, and IP monetization, and a clear view of what makes a platform actually change how a team works, not just another tool they log into.
